What should i do to get my girlfriend back?

I need something that i can get my gf for valentines day like should i write a note? or buy her a gift she says she doesnt like baught gifts she says she likes homemade.. what do i do?
we broke up because there was a rumor i was going to break up with her but i wasnt and so she decided to break up with me instead of me breaking up with her.
