From experience how long has it taken for people to get over their ex’s?

I don’t need to know, I’m just curious because everyone is different!

Every person and every relationship is different. A girl drove a wooden stake through my heart 25 years ago and it still hurts. Other girls, you are just glad to see them go.

    well…it took me like 9 months to tell you the truth but maybe it was because i really liked him but i regret it sooooo much!!

    It depends on many factors.

    However, as somewhat of an old adage, I've heard that it takes the length of time that constitutes half of the duration of the relationship. For example, a one year relationships takes 6 months before you fully "move on." Obviously, this isn't anything truly scientific or biological and nothing that's been substantially proven on a psychological level. Just an observation of typical romantic patterns.

    The guy below me also made a good point. There are break ups that never fully heal when you truly and deeply loved the other person. My grandmother is 83 and still feels the heartache from an ex 40 years ago who broke her heart.
