First of all,i would tell him to chill.Its just a game,well not just a game but it can most certainly not be equated to a life-death situation.Second of all,i would tell him to respect other teams,just the same way one respects another person's religion.

If you can break up with someone because of differences at football, it simply means the relationship is not that strong after all.
Besides, it'll be fun to sit together to watch when the teams play, and to goad each other over each other club's fortunes. You'll probably never run out of things to say.

as long as you're rooting for the same sport. if you love football and she abhors it, then what good is it if you continue the relationship? now as for different teams or clubs, a little competition would probably even spice up your relationship..relax. enjoy the competition. enjoy football
