It sounds to me like you need to solve your depression problem first and then maybe you will have a chance with her again. She is going thru a rough time now and needs a shoulder to cry on. By staying with you, she stays depressed and brings you down further. It would do you both some good for you to solve those issues from the past before trying this relationship again.

has anything changed since you broke up? if not then the same thing will happen again until you learn to deal with your problems all by your self.. you are the one that has to do the work. and to get her back because she was able to help you is not good enough

Are you sure you like her? or Do you feel thankful that she helped you? be clear about that.

If you do like her, I think you should come to her house and tell her how you feel. Don't forget a gift or some flowers. Girls like romantic guys.
Hopefully she doesn't have a boyfriend yet.

you must be very grateful for this lady bacause she gave you a hand when you need it so try to think about the moments that you had together you will find something which she likes most then do it for her valentine's day is near don't left it pass away it's important to show her your émotions besides her that will be a great surprise for her hope to you good luck
